National Awareness Alliance Calls for Firing for Oxy-Copping (my term)

Date: June 21, 2016
**PRESS STATEMENT**
**BREAKING NEWS**
**FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE**
Walter L. Hudson Sr., Chair of National Awareness Alliance, Press Statement On The Resignation Of Penns Grove Police Officer, Joseph DiCarolis, For Stealing Oxycodone Pills & Calls For The Attorney General To Investigate The Penns Grove Police Department.
June 21, 2016 – Penns Grove, NJ – “I am disheartened by the news released today by the Salem County Prosecutor’s Office. A police officer’s job is one of integrity, to protect and serve. I have been critical, even led protests against the Penns Grove Police Department for police brutality in March 2010, when an unarmed Black man, Moshowon Leach, died while in police custody
. I have also brought to light harassment endured by the residences of Penns Grove by police.
To see now, a former police officer, Joseph Dicarolis, engaged into criminal activity, namely a drug offense, is reprehensible. I call for the New Jersey Attorney General to investigate the entire Penns Grove Police Department for any type of criminal activity and other misconduct. I also call for all cases within residence of Penns Grove, involving former police officer, Joseph DiCarolis, to be sent to Judicial Review. The validity of the Penns Grove Police have been compromised.”
